Chemical Reaction

The four substance that we explore can be grouped under the name of carbonate.
When each of the carbonate were put in our mouth it reacted by giving a taste.

Describe the Reaction:
  • I had a twinkle feeling on my tongue and it started to go on my inside cheeks.
  • The reaction was the same when the tartaric touch my mouth.
  • felt like tiny things on top of your tongue.
  • There was no reaction on some of the ingredients.

Acids that we find in the kitchen:
  • Lemon
  • Orange
  • Vinegar
  • Lime
  • Soya sauce
When you mix a substance that contains an acids (for example, vinegar, citrus, fruit juice, acids.) with a carbonate ( for example washing powder, baking powder, chalk, marble, eggshells, or limestone) the two react to from a carbon dioxide gas. It is the escaping gas that causes the fizzing. The reaction can be expressed in the following way.

Acid + carbonate → carbon dioxide + a salt + water 2HCI + CaCos --> CoCle + H2o hydrochloric acid + limestone → carbon dioxide + calcium  chloride + water.

Basin Walk Report

Caption: Ethan testing out his underwater machine.

Room 8 went to Panmure Basin for their Underwater viewing machines testing. They were trying to discover what is under the water. When Room 8 got to Panmure Basin, Mrs Dines gave Frankie a canister and asked her to get a small amount of the Beachfront water and told Mrs Foden that she has to watch Frankie while Mrs Dines takes the rest of Room 8 to the area where they are going to test their Underwater viewing machines, and afterwards they can catch up.

When Room 8 got to the area where they were testing their Underwater viewing machines, it was an area that had a park next to it. When Frankie and Mrs Foden caught up, Mrs Dines had to check the water before room 8 can go in and test their machines.
When Mrs Dines says it was ok Ethan and Asia was already by a rock testing their machines.

When Mrs Dines saw small little fishes and told everyone, Asia jumped up on the rock and started to scream and almost pushed half of the class into the water.

After an hour of screaming and pushing half of the class into the water, room 8 and Mrs Dines decided to head back to school before the bell rang for morning tea.

Always get along with family!

Family are the most important people in our lives. You can always learn about your family history and also can do some new awesome activities to do with your family. However you may not get along with other families from the past history but you can always forgive and forget. I think that we should get along with the families that you may not get along with.If you don’t agree with me, well here are some reason you should agree with me.

First reason is that we should get along with other families because there’re  may be the only peoples in your life that will always be at your side no matter what and that you can always look up too.

Second reason is that if you give them a chance to prove themselves to you that they are wonderful people and they deserve to be in your life.

Third reason is that you can always learn new things from other families, and you may have lots of things in common with. We also don’t want drama’s happening in our life too.

Last reason is that if you don’t get along you will miss so many things that has happen in their life.

These are all that reason why families should get along with other families because we don’t want drama’s do we?

My mum is special to Our Family.

I’m very thankful to God for giving me and my siblings a Mum.
A Mum that comes home and does cleaning and cooking.
A Mum that was always there by our side through our ups and downs.
A Mum that respects other people. A mum who puts the needs of others before herself.
A Mum that will always be at her kids games and cheering for them.
A Mum that loves her family so much.
A Mum who works hard to keep her kids away from danger.
A Mum who is always happy when her kids receive an award.
A Mum that will always take care of her family and guide them to make great choices.
A Mum always prepared to give her family advice to stay strong.
A Mum that will never give up and will always be proud to be called a mum.
I’m so grateful and proud to call  her  my mum.
